It takes as its theme the styles used in the Ishihara color test plates. These are used to identify colour bias in vision perception. Issues of race were dominant in the election race and in some quarters the electorate were making decisions solely on the basis of colour. What did they see? What do you see?
A man of colour or the president of the United States? Obviously both. The portrait is a celebration of the landmark USA election result which provides the potential for world-changing attitudes to race, religion and colour.
